This is so true! I am not LDS but I know many who are, through work. When they talk about what they're doing that night or on the weekend, it's always some church-involved activity. I don't see where they have time to do it all! It's not deliberate, it just is what it is.

Also, where exactly do you live in the Salt Lake area, if you don't mind me asking? Because perhaps it's best for you, if you don't already, to live somewhere like Downtown or Sugarhouse, where I don't think you'll have such problems.

Utah has a much different history than any other state out West. This gives it a more peculiar (not bad!) flavor than I've found anywhere else.

wow irman you sound very upset...Not a good example of how LDS members act or the majority at least maybe this is why people feel out of place..or as another thread i seen been mean to. I am LDS i have several friends that arent members. I would just suggest to not look at anyone because of there religion but who they are. You can hang out with others of other beliving backgrounds...or if you really think you cant i have no idea how to meet others in the area with the same beliefs..just open up and take in friends for who they are and not what they believe

You heard the definition of a Mormon ?
One, who is going to a meeting, or is at a meeting or comes from a meeting.

Thank you - let's sum up what we've learned from your hour or two of vague comments:
-You are coming to Utah to shake things up
-Mormons are Satan's minions
-Utah is racist due to .1% of the population not being white
So, anything else?
