Is Park City Lonely?
Is Park City a Lonely place to live year round? I'm thinking of moving there, but wondered what the community is like for someone in their early 30s, no kids, works from home.
Is there a very good athletic community that lives there year round? I'm very much into sports and looking to make other friends that are into em as well.
Thanks for any Info!

It depends on the neighborhood, obviously, but I'm sure there are some very active ones. I would imagine that the more secluded neighborhoods with the bigger houses would (of course) have very little interaction between neighbors. Meanwhile, some of the condo complexes and neighborhoods visible from the freeway look like they'd be really fun places to live.

You will find people come and go, especially in the winter, and even those that come to work at the resorts are gone by April.

So are you saying summer is pretty quiet there and there aren't many year round people that live there?

I live there 7-8 months out of the year. It can be quiet when the ski crowd is gone, but the summer's are great, lots of festivals and that type of stuff. It's what you make of it. You will need to venture out.

Park City is the most athletic oriented town I've ever lived in and one of the reasons I moved here. As a 30 something you most likely won't be living in a neighborhood of trophy homes, so you'll probably be near like minded folks of similar age.

Hoping there is some lower elevation hiking and riding as I am coming out to P.C. the second half of May....
Anyone out there know where to get some online maps of hiking trails in P.C. the Cottonwood Canyons and the Alpine Loop Timphaven area up by Sundance?
