Recommendations for Attorney fior Property Damage/MVA
It looks like I may have to sue the mother of the drunk minor who totaled my car last year. GEICO is refusing to reimburse Allstate so I can't get my deductible back. The mother's coverage was the legal minimum and 2 cars were totaled plus medical treatment. Anyone have a recommendation> I don't need the personal injury sharks or the highest priced person in town, just a competent lawyer to talk to about my options. TIA.

I have had to use an attorney in years past, to resolve a rear ending by a nut case. Believe me Sigfried and Jensen are complete losers. They are ONLY interested in the bottom dollar for themselves. In stark contrast we recommended Robert DeBry and Associates to my brother in law in a situation where a unlicensed hispanic gal went up on a curb and ran into him which caused him a lot of grief. I won't quote numbers here, but I must say they got him a tidy sum and weren't the least bit greedy over the settlement at all. It really didn't take nearly as long as I thought it might, and they didn't put him through the mill (as S&J did with me). So they get the top pick in my opinion for what your needs are. They'll tell you right up front if you have that decent of a case and won't brow beat you. They'll be up front and honest, which is more than I can say about some others.

I have to admit that I'm always discouraged when I hear that someone wants to use one of the "big tv advertising attorneys. Of course, Debry and Siegfried & Jensen both fit that description.
Its not way to pick an attorney. The proper way to select one is to talk to people. Talk to your insurance agent. Talk to your banker. Talk to your accountant. Talk to your religious leaders. Or talk to your friends in the community. (of course this assumes you don't buy your insurance online, that you go to church, that you use an accountant instead of turbo tax, and that you have friends)
Picking a lawyer based on a tv commercial is like playing Russian Roulette. You have no idea what you'll get. Maybe you will luck out. Maybe you'll get a loser who doesn't care a wit for you. Worst of all, it speaks to what I think is seriously wrong with this country. We've lost a sense of community. When we make all our decisions based on what we hear on t.v. instead of through communicating to people we have really lost something. The success of these big t.v. advertisers speaks volumes about what we have become.

Thanks everyone, I have someone to represent me.
In spite of dcisive's good experience, I think those who advertise are only interested in settling fast, to get their money.
