Default Looking for a place to play squash...

Does anyone know of a good fitness club, rec center, etc. with a squash court around SLC? I'm back in town for a month and will be in the Mount Olympus area, but I can play anywhere. I'm not a stickler for regulation-size courts or anything.

Sorry, I know this is a stupid question, but is a squash court different from a racqetball court?

Yes. Squash courts are shorter and "regulation" courts (at least in the U.S. are narrower. Sometimes squash courts are made out of racquetball courts by installing a plexiglass backdrop toward the back of a racquetball court.

Sorry I can't help you with squash courts because I just moved here.

Well, the Cottonwood Heights Recreation Center is an absolutely incredible facility, so you might want to check it out. I'm just not sure about squash courts, but it's got just about everything else you can possibly conceive of.

Haha yeah Cottonwood Heights is the best! I spent a good deal of my childhood playing Walleyball there. Unfortunately they only have racquetball courts, though. I suppose if I can't find a proper squash court it will suffice. I'm not all that good anyway

There is a gym downtown for squash called Squashworks.
Here's their link if you're interested:http://www.squashworks.org

There are no squash courts at the U. They only have racquetball courts, and they are currently under construction.

The Sports Mall in Murray has a squash court. It's very close to the Mt. Olympus area, and has pretty much every other court available too.
