Default Salt Lake Valley vs. Utah Valley

Okay here it goes, I've posted on here before about this, but I really need some info and opinions from people who have spent time in both of these places. I grew up in Utah Valley and I have spent time in Salt Lake, but I've never lived there, I'm debating on whether to move out of state or just to move to the Salt Lake Valley, I like it there, but I'm worried I'll find the exact same Utah Valley attitude. I'm 24 and single and just looking for a fun place to live for the next few years. And there seems to be a surplus of Dudes in Utah, honestly, I spent time in Texas and there were tons of available girls everywhere I went, I've counted and the last 6 girls I asked out here in Provo had boyfriends(not joking) this place is a freekin meat market. Plus people here seem to be trapped in their own little mode of sheltered life, I can't handle it anymore, please send me some feedback with opinions, experiences, etc. thanks
