We are moving to the south side of the valley next month, we have a 4-year old boy and we are looking for good preschools in South Jordan, Draper and Sandy area. We are non-LDS and would prefer schools that are not affiliated with religions. Any comments about good experiences with preschools in the area will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Good luck! Most preschools seem to be run in people's houses. I find that incredibly strange. When we moved here a couple of years ago from Oregon I was really shocked, since there's a church with a preschool on every corner there.
There are very limited options if you don't want anything religious affiliated. Mormon churches don't ever have preschools, so you don't have to worry about that. I ended up sending my kids to preschool at Challenger (once in Sandy, and then in West Jordan). I like their preschools a lot, but they are definitely not cheap. That's one of the only options, though.

Default Little Learner's Academy Preschool in West Jordan

I have a 3 and 4 year old and my son has gone for the last 2 years and my daughter has gone for 1 year. I absolutely LOVE this school. Miss Launa comes from Challenger School and has been a Kindergarten Teacher. She has like 15+ years of experience and she has had her own school for I think 7-8 years or more, I can't remember. The school is just west of 78th and Bangerter Hwy in a strip mall. Miss Launa and Miss Jessica are wonderful teachers and have a lot of fun with the kids.

My son is 4 years old and he has known his lower case letters and letter sounds since March. My daughter is 3 years old and knows all of hers too. They learn a lot of their academics from music and they do fun drama plays with music too. My kids love school and love their teachers. They have a schedule that they stick to every day and so it really gets them ready for kindergarten.

They also have fun fieldtrips every month except the months that they have their 2 programs that they do each year.

Check her out and see what you think. I would never think of sending my children to anyone but Little Learner's Academy.

Thank you very much for the comments. We will check both of them out. Any experience with a place called KinderCare? They seem to have multiple places in town...Thanks.
