This is an interesting thread as I just attended a workshop today and the guest speaker at lunch was the Utah State Treasurer. Utah's unemployment is currently at around 7.8 % and he feels it will continue to rise. Every area of employment is currently down except for healthcare and education. Government was up but only about .2 percent. Mining and Construction were the hardest hit areas overall, but all areas were pretty bad. I wouldn't come here looking for a job unless you are in one of those two areas. I also wouldn't move here right now without a job offer in writing.
