Temperature inversion in Logan vs SLC
Hey all, I read many accounts that state: The cold inversion problem is worse in the Logan area than SLC. I read something from the University up there, that the main pollutant is ammonia and other agricultural wastes.
Questions:
1. How many days does the inversion in Logan last on average?
2. How many days does the inversion in SLC last on average?
3. What are the frequencies of inversion days in both places i.e. Does it ruin some, most, or all the winter?
4. Are the days and quality of inversion up in Logan subtantially worse than SLC?
5. What are the effects on humans in general?
6. Does air-filtration in the home help out the situation?
Thanks to any folks who care to answer any of these questions.
