Talk to the guys that do the Krav classes. Or you may want to look into Alamo Crossfit.

Call Denny at San Antonio Kickboxing Club. Awesome workouts. Only 30 minutes and you'll be toast. Never been in better shape in my life. Plus it's only $69/month for all the classes you can handle. They've got kickboxing (with a heavy bag), strength training and Israeli self defense (like Krav Maga) classes. It's absolutely the best workout you'll ever do. And it's fast. 425-5425

There is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu place across from Jack in the Box on NW Military & Lockhill Selma, don't know if they offer a full MMA style workout, but they may be a good resource.

I found this ... Schools | TXMMA - Texas Mixed Martial Arts

Hope that helps

checked out the kickboxing site last night. looks interesting to me. i've always wanted to study another art.

and as for the "tapout" crew....ha. for every 10 of them, 1/2 of them are actual good fighters, the rest are just fashion statements. that comes from my cousin who is a brazilian jiu jitsu black belt that fights semi-professionally. they use those guys as sparring partners....that's all.

My husband does MMA workouts/ training here:

SALAZAR BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU

He really loves it there. The owner, Marcelo, just competed in Abu Dhabi - which means he really knows his stuff!

National School of Martial Arts does MMA training a few days during the week. It's super intense and Master Michael is awesome.
National School of Martial Arts - San Antonio
I'm taking their TKD classes there and I love it. Prices are reasonable. They have a good group doing MMA so you'll always be challenged. Very friendly too.
