Default Do they make windmills around here?

Almost every day on my drive home from work I pass a few large semis carrying what appear to be parts of large, electricity generating windmills. The blades must be 50 feet long. I see them on 1604 between I-10 and 281, so I was wondering if they're being built nearby. Anyone know?

Not built here but they are shipped and erected in West Texas. They hope on I-10 and head west.

The ones I see are always heading west on 1604. I assume they jump on I-10 eventually.

I did some Googling and it looks like there's a big GE wind turbine plant in Houston. They make some huge 3.6 megawatt turbines there.

Sunday's Express News had an article about some wind farms going up in the Kings Ranch along the southern Texas coast.
