Hello All,

We will be relocating to San Antonio at the end of July and will be living in the Estates at Lookout Canyon Creek. Our son will be a freshman and is worried not only about starting high school, but being new to a "very large" high school and not knowing anyone. I'm just looking for guidance to help him meet kids before school starts. So if anyone can recommend a great youth group or any suggestions about meeting kids or the school itself.

It would be greatly appreciated!!

Many Thanks in Advance,
A.G.

I've heard good things about that high school, including a good sports program. Here is a starting point that can get his foot in the door:

SVHS Web Site - Clubs & Organizations

You might also look into religious activities.

Best wishes!

Depending on what your interest is, most high schools have a fitness and conditioning session for athletes, baseball generally has a camp, as do other activities. great way to get started. Here's the link to Smithson Valley athletic booster club with further info. And even if the session has begun, I think you could probably still get in(unless it's over of course)
