How many people would be interested in a Houston's/Bartlett's restaurant in San Antonio?

Since there is no shortage of restaurants in SA, unless it is something unique to the area I doubt there will be much enthusiasm for another one...

Never heard of it. I don't think SA needs another chain restaurant, unless, as majormadmax said, it's somehow unique to the area.

When I see "Bartlett", I think "pear"...

always loved Houstons. Anyone ever been to a restaurant called Gradys? Kind of reminded me of the same thing.

I guess they were talking about the Houston's/Bartlett's in Austin; this review has 86 reviews that give it an average of 4/5 stars.

But based on the menu prices it appears to be more upscale (a fancy way of saying expensive), which may not do so well in SA, which has a lot of great moderately-priced places to eat.

We already have a fair selection of higher-end restaurants, and I am not sure it will thrive here as well as the one in Austin...

Cheers! M2

Hey, if it's a second location of a Texas restaurant, I'm all for it. And you know San Antonio - upscale means jeans instead of shorts.

I was thinking about the former Champ's location at Huebner Oaks. Its a great location and is perfectly set up for a restaurant like Houston's. And Champ's did so well there. I don't wanna see that great location go to waste.

I hate chain restaurants, but for the Houston's/Rutherford Grill/Bandera/Gulf Stream franchise. They know what they are doing and free corkage in the Cali locations guaranteed frequent visits by me & the crew. The NOLA St. Charles location was a special occasion spot when I was young and broke.

As long as they don't stick it out in suburbia- i'm all in!
