Does anyone have any experience with Zumba classes - ones that you can take without being a member of a gym - here in town they would recommend? Prefer Live Oak, UC, Schertz, Cibolo, etc. areas, but willing to expand the area a little bit if needed.

Thanks.

Thanks. I might actually consider this one once school starts back up since it is close to where I teach, but I am hoping for something closer to home for the summer.

I know lots of gyms offer Zumba classes. When I was researching gyms and looking at class schedules I saw many of them had them in the evenings. Maybe one near your house has one?

Candela Estudios at Babcock and Hillcrest offers daily (except Sunday) Zumba classes. It's $7 a class or $50 a month. My subdivision has FINALLY brought in an awesome Zumba instructor, and she teaches twice a week at our Lodge. It's in Silver Creek, which is on the NW side. It's $5 a class, and if you don't live here, you have to pay a one-time fee of $5 to use the Lodge facilities as a guest. There are also classes being taught in the NW Crossing subdivision, but I believe you have to live in NW Crossing or be brought as a guest by someone who does. They have the lowest prices, though.

Sorry, those are not really in the direction you are looking for, but I can tell you that if you come to the classes at Silver Creek, you will find an excellent instructor, Evelyn Soto. It's not for sissies, though.

If you are member of military or retiree, they have classes at Randolph AFB. You pay by the class or monthly. Good Luck

Devoir Fitness on FM 78 in Schertz has various Zumba classes almost every day of the week. Their phone number is 210-658-3488 or visit devoirfitness.com for a scheldule. Also Carolyn Angelo teaches at the Schertz Civic center- she's really fun & energized, I haven't been in awhile so I don't know her scheldule anymore, but they usually have one posted outside the door.
