I am planning on taking my 8 year old son to the water park this coming Monday after the 4th of July in hope that it would be pretty slow. I have not been there since I was a child.

What advice can you give to make it as easy going as possible. My husband is a bit of a gloomy guss and I want him to feel as stress free as possible. I plan to get the tickets at HEB to lower the cost somewhat. I plan to bring my own food and drinks since they say we can. I worry about leaving our cooler for someone to steal while we are out riding rides. What is the best way to make the trip smooth?

Thanks in Advance

I highly doubt it will be slow considering most people I know have the 5th off.

Bet it'll be crowded, but you'll have a good time. Be sure to take large towels, and know that they actually are a friendly place.

I have been going to Schlitterbahn for the past 20 years and no one has ever messed with our towels or food! Valuables like your phone, camera, etc should be stored in a locker you can rent for a couple bucks. The tubes however sometimes get stolen . Just make sure you dont bring any glass containers and also arrive a bit early perhaps right when they open up because that is when the lines are the shortest. I think it will still be a bit crowded since the weather is suppose to clear up by Monday.

I went last 4th of July and had a blast and to be honest the lines weren't that bad!

I think I will go on Tuesday. I have been hearing from people that they spend all day there and ride only two or three rides because of long lines.

Well, I don't know about only 2 or 3 rides, but I'm willing to bet that the entire area as well as the park will be packed on Monday!

I went on the 4th of July great weather and we were able to get on 8 rides we didn't wait more than 20-30 minutes for one! It was awesome...we had a great time!
