If you had only one day to spend in San Antonio, what would you have to do and see?

Alamo and Riverwalk. Two of the top tourist attractions in all of Texas. I'd also do the boat tour, getting there early in the morning while there's no line, to get the overview of downtown.

ditto. and, as a bonus, they are right there by each other. you don't even have to move your car.

Yep, can't argue with those recommendations! I'd add to have a drink in the Tower of the Americas (but don't eat there), and if there is time maybe visiting some of the other downtown attractions such as the Buckhorn Saloon and La Villita...

You can find more to do in the Official San Antonio Travel & Leisure Guide.

Cheers! M2

What restaurant would you have to eat at?

Allegedly Acenar and Rosario's are very popular among locals...but there is a wide variety of places to eat on or near the Riverwalk. Sure, some are targeting tourists; but it all depends on what you are looking for...

But based on our recent experience, I would just recommend staying away from the Chart House at the Tower of the Americas unless you are willing to spend a lot of money for mediocre food. However, I will admit it is an outstanding view as the restaurant rotates once an hour and you get an unforgettable view of the city and its surroundings!

Cheers! M2
