An apartment complex? Wow...that area is going to be a mess with traffic. So glad our home is under contract and are leaving this area in about 6 months (going to be renting while the new house is being built in Adkins to keep my son in the same school for the time being). It's just got too congested with traffic in the last few years for me.

Yep, confirmed by the SA Business Journal. According to the article, they are a small "footprint" store, with just about 48K square feet. Organic veggies and fruit, meat, a small bakery, but mostly groceries and not like a regular Wal-Mart. The article also says that this area demographic is wanting "something different". Interesting...

You can read about the ones in Dallas online if you do a Google search...Farmers Branch and Flower Mound.

Ours is nice....they just put one in an old Albertson's outside my neighborhood. I think you're going to be OK with it, except the meat dept. I've just never been impressed with this store or any of the supercenters' meat. Also, not sure if yours will have a full serve bakery and deli but ours does not. It's perfect for "popping in to get a couple things" though and I'm there usually once a week since I'm not a "buy it all once a month" kind of shopper. I will say "good luck" re clientele because that area is on the cusp, it seems. That store will probably draw the respectables......and the not-so's from nearby. Kind of like Warren HS does. The WM at Military and 410 actually scares me, and according to some on here I'm kinda manly. But I would not go in that place when I lived there, after being in there a couple of times.

Again...a LOT in Vegas is great for a visit....I am hoping this is a respectable alternative to the traffic at HEB....speaking of which...LOTS of talk in the "military world" about all the sequastration and money issues...and the fact that EVERYTHING...including stateside commissary programs are "under review".

Does anyone else thing that IF the stateside military commissaries were to fold, that the competition would GROW in places like SA (military city USA?)?????????
