Hi!

Fearless Iranians From hell!!!

I only saw them once and well, I kinda forgot much of the show.

I saw METALLICA at The Cameo in 1983.

Later on Suicidal Tendencies came to The Cameo.

Good times!!

Sorry,

No Demos.

I was part of that scene in the late 80s. I went to Tony Chainsaw's annual Punk Fest on January 1, 1988. It was at a dive called the Last Stand on Mission Road. That night I saw FIFH, Crippled By Society, Gloomy Gus, Cerebral Distortion, and others. It was awesome. That place was no bigger than like 12 x 20. The fire marshall came before FIFH and CBS I think and made everyone exit. They only let a number of people back in because of the fire codes, but I made it back in. Man I was only 14 back then. The traveling shows I caught were The Circle Jerks, Cro Mags, The Exploited, and later I saw Green Day right before they released Dookie. They were the undercard for Bad Religion and they blew them away. I used to be in a hardcore straight-edge band called America's Pride. We played a few times at the Club Oasis on Main. Good times.

I didn't even see the first post. I think the only demo I have in decent condition is CBS, but I can't look for it until I get back in September from Southwest Asia. I used to have a copy of Cerebral Distortion and Scr*tum Nosedives demos, but I will have to dig deep. I was close friends back in the day with the guys from Scr*tum. The drummer's name was Danny and his brother Robert was the drummer in our band. I have a demo of our stuff, but the quality is so so. I have the FIFH CD with all of their stuff. I'd be very interested in getting a copy of that DVD.

Hola mi gente',

The San Antonio Texas Punk Rock Archive website is online---> San Antonio Texas Punk Rock Archive

Currently the archive is incomplete and is in the process of being updated with as much info as possible, but for the time being you can check out the flyers on the site.

I'm still seeking out more stuff to post on the site to share with all of the cyberworld, so if anyone has music, video, flyers, photos, articles, stories to share from S.A.'s 1970's-80's punk/underground music scene PLEASE feel free to email me at texmexpunk1980@yahoo.com
