Default Where Can I Find a SA Knife Collector / Expert?

Where Can I Find a SA Knife Collector / Expert?-belduque-knife-.jpg

I have some inquiries on a Spanish Colonial Belduque knife. Any suggestions who I could show it to in San Antonio?

Thank you!

Nix

There will be a SAXET gun show the weekend of 24-25 July at the Alazafar Temple in Stone Oak (901 N Loop 1604 W), there are usually some knife vendors at the show who might be able to answer your questions. If not, they should be able to steer you in the right direction.

Doors open at 9:00am, and it cost $5 to get in. Parking is free.

Cheers! M2

Major Max, I am always either too early or too late. I will be in SA this coming Tuesday, just for one day. I have dedicated that day to finding a knife expert in SA. Any other suggestions?

You might try Nagle's on San Pedro. If nothing else, they could likely point you in the right direction, or just google 'em and call and ask...

I called Nagel's (210.342.9893) earlier today but there was no answer. I will try again.

Try (210) 342-5420, it's their alternate number.

Their hours are Monday - Saturday 9:00-6:00.

And here is their website for knives (http://www.nagelsguns.net/Nagels_Guns/KNIVES.html - broken link).

Cheers! M2

I recommend contacting the history departments of the local universities and colleges. Museums which have any weapon collections will also yield expertise opinion.

Below is a link to one museum within the region though there is more likely some that are within the county.
