They did that as recently as 2 years ago, they would do it on the holiday weekends.Of course it would only be rock music.

I remember one cool thing KEXL did was to play a couple of hours of an artist's repretore at the same time the artist was doing a concert in town.
I think they dubbed it the "Poor Man's Concert".

No Donovan and Gino were ok, this guy was a folk singer type and the song they ALWAYS played was about 8-10 minutes long. Followed by the Eagle Bone Whistle head shop commercials and take a trip on the RC (cola) side.

No, my girl liked If You Could Read My Mind... I will do some inet searching and come up with something.
...and my2sons i remember KEEZ but always ended up at 99.5 KISS. I can still remember those dreadful days of going shopping with mom and she listened to KITE AM. Makes me want to throw up just thinking about it. And that stupid Secret Sound contest they used to have. The only good thing about KITE besides the off button was when they let the KEXL gang do their thing.
I still have fond memories of the KTFM Thursday night at San Pedro Drive In. I can say that yes I had a rainbow on the back window before the meaning of a rainbow changed.
