...um, taxi cab perhaps? Well, that sounded kinda rude, I live nearby downtown, maybe you don't, so it ain't too much $$$ for me to get home in my drunken stupor ala taxi and not kill anyone, AND the number is easy to remember even when I'm near comostose (222-2222).

Just a tip, at both SeaWorld and Fiesta Texas - bring a drink bottle, and the concession stands will fill it with ice water for free. They don't advertise it, but they do it without a hesitation if you ask.

Not only was Ripley's expensive and not overly impressive for me (but my kids kinda liked it), but the Davey Crockett Tall Tales Ride just a few doors down (329 Alamo Plaza) was an even bigger waste of time and money! It only lasts a few minutes, and was too cartoony for my tastes.

However, the haunted house/warehouse next door was very well done! Still expensive, but pretty scary!

Cheers! M2

I'd have to throw my hat in the ring here and also add The Buckhorn Saloon downtown!

Ah that's what I was gonna say! We didn't pay to go to the museum, but we ate there. Ugh. My daughter ordered PB&J because she refused to eat meat and look at all the animals on the walls! My younger son thought it was cool though.

Just my opinion, of course.

COMPLETELY AGREE!! I hate that place. We went there one night after looking at the lights, it was so so bad.
