Sometimes bad service works for you. We ate in a Denny's on the west coast about 15 years ago. They had a deal that if you meal didn't come in 20 minutes it was free. They gave you a timer to watch. Well, it was counting down at 19 minutes and my wife and said - Dad! The waitress was flapping her gums with some old coot she knew. The clock struck. Meals were free. The waitress got reamed out by the manager. haha.
And? I read the orginal post and all the replies relating to it before I commented originally. Doesn't mean I can't or shouldn't reply with my own take on it.

No you are so right I just wanted to clarify as I also believe reprimands are in order. I did not want you to think that I felt differently. My own clarification if you will.

I change my response from Haha - to :

Forsooth, the churlish waitress, who abandoned her duties to converse with a friend, was chastized mightly by her concerned supervisor.

By the way, if you never have been reamed out in public - there are some organizations that you shouldn't be part off. They sometimes deal with critical situations. Training is fierce. Granted being late with the cheese burger isn't that critical. Haha.

While I normally had pretty good service from Denny's I just can't stomach the food.

On the subject though, sometimes at lunch I'll run through the drive-thru @ Jack in the Box on Broadway and Mulberry and every single time I go the people there are so nice. The one woman who is there about 90% of the time always calls me beautiful. Every single time.

It's not "chastising in public," it's "just showin’ some love"...
