Old burger shop in New Braunfels
Does anyone remember an old burger shop in New Braunfels at the northwest corner of I35 and 46? On a map it would be the true north corner. I ate there once in the early 80's. I tried to find it recently. I doubt it's still there, unless it was located at a different intersection. Mainly I'd like to know what the interior was like. Thanks.

I may have found the place. It's called Skillet restaurant. I didn't go inside. Maybe next time I'm in the New Braunfels area I'll check it out.

From what I can tell, Skillet's was located at 155 46-South which is between I-35 and Business 35 (Elliot Knox Blvd). The only things located in that area now are McDonalds, a taqueria, Wendy's and Walgreens on one side of the road; the other side there is a carwash, a very new strip center and a gas station. No sign of anything called Skillet's ever being there...

The taqueria is the site of the old Skillets.

I'm pretty sure the place I went to in 1981 is gone now. Demolished. It might have been on the next corner up from I35, where a gas station is at now. It was in an older style building (50's or 60's). It was either a stand-alone building or a very small stip center. I think the sidewalk in front may have been covered.
