Hmmm.... I would say they are all pretty "kid friendly" but none of them are full of kids. As you know, the homes are larger and more expensive, so the neighborhoods aren't full of young families... that said, I live in Inwood and have a 1 1/2 year old, another on the way. My neighbors on both sides have young, elementary age children... as do several families on my street. It seems that as the older couples downsize and move out, families are moving in. The neighborhood is getting younger...
All are wonderful, established neighborhoods! GL and HTH!

I hear a lot more about younger families moving to the Inwood area that Shavano Park or Elm Creek.

They're all fabulous and will have kids here, there and everywhere though, like Lauren0319 said.

I'd say that the best way to tell that would be to drive through each of those areas on a Saturday. See which one has the most kids out and about and at the neighborhood recreation area.

That might be tough in Elm Creek and some of the Inwoods, since they are gated. The fact they are gated will make it harder to find an average person who has been in all three neighborhoods on a Saturday. A realtor could help you.

Of the three, I'd say Inwood(which has a youth swim team).

Elm Creek and Shavano Park are all older and more expensive and established neighborhoods(read: no kids-older folks). Might should check out Rogers Ranch or something similar.
