I used to live in the Castle Hills area and loved this HEB. It was so convenient and easy to get in and out when you just needed to pick up a few things. The Blanco/West Ave HEB is too congested, hopefully this new HEB will alleviate some of that.

It's not a Central Market, although it is similar. You can read more about the new store in this thread.

There's a new HEB opened up about 1/2 mile down the street on Nw Military near Wurzbach Pkwy. It's huge and looks interesting. I haven't had enough time to go look down all the aisles yet. I remember going to that one on Lockhill-Selma/Nw Military when I lived in the area.

I went to the old "Section 8 HEB" on Wurzbach & I-10 for the last time on Tuesday. I am never going back to that store again. When they rebuilt it, it was suppose to be better than the on on DeZavala and it wasn't even close. And ever since the Med-center apartments all went section 8 that HEB has nothing but gangsters in it.

What gangsters? I shop there every week and I never see gangsters. I would like for it to be less crowded. But I happen to like it. Only HEB I know of besides Central Market that has a wide variety of food, especially vegetarian. So, bite your tongue.

I think the new HEB excelled in the Kosher food area, deli but the Cafe on the Run was very disappointing. I hope the new one at Evans and 281 is better than this one

I know the demographics don't support it but a small mexican food counter would have been good.
