Well, you know how it goes - everything is scheduled, then someone drops a bomb in the middle of things.

I've got two safes being delivered in New Braunfels tomorrow - each weighing about 1500 lbs. Had a company scheduled to take the safe off the truck, deliver it inside, then go to the second location (about 5 miles away) and do the same thing. Call yesterday afternoon to confirm schedule...."Sir, we can't do that - it's too heavy!"

"Excuse me?!? I've got emails from "Amxxxx" not only saying you CAN, but the price to do it AND confirmation as to what time you're to be here!"

Apparently, none of that matters.....so now I sit here - anyone got any ideas? I need this done at 10 am tomorrow.....help!

Check with the company you where bought the safes. Or the company that is delivering them. If they got them onto the truck, they could have a way to get them off the truck. Other than that, it's call every moving company close by to find someone who says yes.
I'd write an email to the person who sent you the confirming email and ask when he will be there to do what he promised.

if you want something done right, gotta do it yourself. try getting 6 of your friends to help move it onto a sturdy 4 wheel dolly and then get a trailer to lay it down in.

I had a friend who pushed his safe from one apartment room to the next, there went his deposit, the torn carpet, dented walls and broken coffee table will make him think twice about doing it alone.

Gettin' lots of help sounds good - but if this thing gets away from you, it could kill someone. I'd MUCH rather pay a pro that has the right tools!
