Here's "Guess My Location" photo #4:
I love searching out and exploring old ghost towns - and this one is located on the outskirts of San Antonio, and in the 1870's had several hundred residents. Now, all that remains is the cemetery and the ruins of this two-story historic building. Can you name this location?

LoL!!! I've lived around the area for the past 20 years, and have a lot of Catholic friends that were/are members.Have been to St. Jo's many a time, for many a reason. I was raised Catholic, & have attended quite a few services & sta. of the cross there. Love the old structures on that sacred site, and have a few deceased friends burried in the cemetary.

I know I've seen that building before when training with Via. I know it's on the south side, but I can't remember if it's by Stinson, Losoya, Elmendorf, or maybe even St. Hedwig but that's on the east side.

Nah, I'm thinking NW side... someone talked about this house recently. Well, if it is on the southeast side maybe it's Sutherland Springs!

Hey, I'm just happy that I was able to find a location that was not identified within the first hour (like what happened with the second and third photos)
Although I must admit I'm a little surprised about that, since this located right off a state highway, less than a hundred feet away.
Update: Someone correctly guessed in the Flickr comments on the original photo, so if you don't want to know the answer just yet, avoid the comments.

Well, I don't recognize it. I thought this may be a building photos were posted of a while back. Somewhere on NW side ..maybe house belonging to Callaghan or Wurzbach family. I'm just guessing have no clue. I remember an old house near Calaveras Lake close to 181 s. in 70's. Built similar looking. Was occupied then. I'm pretty familiar with Losoya and Dos Rios Plant area. Doesn't look familiar. Not Berg's Mill or Stinson area far as I know. Elemendorf , I've been through plenty but it's been a while. Don't recall anything like it there. I'm stumped! Love the thread!

I'm not going to try to guess where this is because I have no clue as to the exact locale, though it looks familiar. I do think it's south of the city because some of the brush growing inside the structure vaguely appears to be mesquite. And I do know there is mesquite growing in areas of the Hill Country, but I have not seen this building out that way off of any State hwy and there is plenty of mesquite south of San Antonio.
