I'm thinking of putting DD in the lottery to attend the school for second grade. It's supposed to be 'accelerated learning'; however, the SAISD site doesn't exactly specify and I've yet to get a call back from the school to schedule an appointment to discuss anything. DD is pretty much doing all third grade work except for some math concepts and showed me tonight at dinner that she can write in cursive - the little booger taught herself!
Anyone who has students here - please give me your opinons! Would this be a good fit for her, or would she just be put in *this* grade because she's *this* age?
