Smile Need truth please

My husband and I are looking to relocate to San Antonio when I retire in a year and a half. My daughter and her husband will probably relocate too. I am caucasian,my husband is Mexican, one of the reasons we picked SA. My daughter has 2 daughters, her husband and stepdaughter are black.
Here is what I really need to know. Will this be a problem in SA? Here in south Florida it's not but t I don't know about anywhere else. Would you please give me an honest answer.
Thanks!

There is a lot of mixed race kids and couples out here, across the socioeconomic board. I think you're going to find that it's not going to be a problem. I'd say over half of my daughter's classmates are mixed race or non-white.

Because SA is a military town, it is very tolerant to all.

Is what going to be a problem?
You haven't described any situation that would create an uncomfortable atmosphere in SA.
Don't pick SA becasue your Black and Mexican, pick it becasue it's where you want to live...then do it.

This is a wonderful "melting pot" location with very loving and friendly folks...I think you will enjoy being in San Antonio very much.....the ONE thing that seems to be most difficult for "newbies" to adjust to should not be a problem for you moving from FL....THE HUMIDITY!!!

about the only problem (this is sarcasm here) you'll find is some people might speak to the lighter skinned ones in Spanish. hopefully that's not a major problem to you. I'm in an interracial marriage and have never had any negative situation in the 6+ years I've lived here.

Thanks to all of you! When I moved from Nevada to Florida ( my son lives here) we went thru SA and I just really loved the place for some reason. Now, knowing there won't be any problems like having my granddaughters (all 3!!)picked on, I'm looking foward to the move. In fact it can't come quick enough. Really hate it here.

ignorance is an ugly thing.. However, in Florida's defense (I can't believe I'm doing this because I really don't like the state), that is where I met my wife and I never had any issues there either. Matter of fact, it was pretty common. That was in the Orlando area, so maybe other areas aren't as enlightened..

Oh I'm not from the UK. Maybe you thought that from my name but it's actually my Granddaughter's name. Another thing. Do you advise we rent for awhile and take a look around, or is there an area your recommend highly where we'll fit in just great.
