Is there Park and Ride at Crossroads Mall for this event? I don't see anything on VIA website for tomorrow's event. Is there ample parking at Alamo Stadium for Battle of the Bands?

Not sure if "Battle of the Bands" is the same as "Battle of Flowers" but google says they are. (I have never been to Fiesta and don't care to go)

They are not the same - bad Google!! lol

Battle of the Bands is at Alamo Stadium Thursday night. As far as I know, there is no park and ride service there. Wish there was since our kids will be participating this year!

Battle of Flowers Parade is Friday. We took park and ride a couple of years ago from Crossroads. Dropped us down by the convention center and we just walked up Broadway to our seats. Take a back pack with water, sunscreen, wear a hat, etc.

NO! Very different. Guess we can't trust Google.

Not sure about park and ride, but there is plenty of parking in the surrounding area. Have fun. I wish we could go. Excited for Brackenridge HS! At least we get to hear them practicing regularly.

Thank you for the correction. I wasn't sure.

I guess my answer was of no use then.

The parking lot adjacent to the stadium, on the side closest the zoo, will be full of only school buses. There is another large parking lot, but a lot of spectators will have to park on the surrounding side streets and walk over to the stadium. Traffic on and off the highway will be very heavy before and after the event, so get there early and don't plan to be in a rush to get out when it is over. Take lots of water and have a great time.

Trinity is right next to Alamo Stadium, will we be allowed to park there at Trinity?

Here's an insdider tip from a local in the know...You can park at Sunshine Cottage School for Deaf Children. The address is 603 E Hildeband. It is a short downhill walk to Alamo Stadium. There will be a $5 charge. The money goes to the school. They will have people watching the cars in their private lot. I hope you enjoy the event!
