Glad ya liked it! I've never tried their 1604 location - in my experience, copies are never as good as originals...

Stoked that Lupe Tortilla is finally coming to SA! Their lime marinated fajitas are the best I've ever had..so good that we load up the kids about every 6 weeks just to drive to Houston, have dinner, and then drive back. Only down side is that now they're too close...I'll probably put on about 10 pounds...

No enchiladas? Look at the menu under Tex-Mex and Combinations...you will see enchiladas. I'm from San Antonio and have eaten at a couple of Lupe Tortilla restaurants in Houston many times (lived there for 6 years) and it's pretty tasty. The fajitas are very good. The kids and the noise are not enjoyable, but the food is good. I am really looking forward to having a Lupe Tortilla here!

Has anyone noticed if Lupe Tortillas has opened yet? My husband wants Lupe's for Fathers Day.

I drove around it this past Wednesday and it looked almost complete from the outside, but the interior decor was still being worked on. I doubt it'll be ready by tomorrow.

Noticed that they advertised on Craigslist for employees last Wednesday. Wasn't looking for a job. I was trying to find out the opening date. No luck.

I concur. The city needs to diversify its palate. Thanks to John Besh downtown and Bernard on the south side maybe the hispanic populace will grow accustomed to other' cultures cuisine. I bet about 70% of the restaurants here are Tex-Mex.
