I am curious to know how much everyone is spending on their grocery/dining out every month.

Our family of 3 is spending roughly $450 on groceries and $150 on dining out. I shop mainly at HEB and Target/Walmart. Is there any other places to shop for cheaper groceries so I can decrease my grocery bill to $400/month?

You could probably save by adding Costco or Sam's Club to your shopping options and buying in bulk.

Other than adding a club to the mix, the best way to save at our local grocery stores is to pay attention to which of Target/WalMart/HEB sells the things you buy regularly for the least and try to buy those things there. For the things I buy, Wal-Mart usually has the lowest regular prices and Target has the best clearance prices on grocery items. There are a few things my family likes that I can only get at HEB, or I would cut them completely out of my shopping mix.

Since this summer I've been buying natural/organic healthy foods. I probably make-up what I would be eating out with the grocery bill around $60 a week so that adds up to $240 for one person a month. I try my best to try to avoid eating out, but it may add up to about $100...but that's just food.

What gets me is that the good food is super expensive and never on sale. You'll see Combo Locos like crazy (pun intended) but I've actually had cashiers hand me my reciept and say, "Wow...you saved nothing this week..." I've tried SunHarvest but not WholeFoods yet to see if the prices are any different. As of right now the prices are about the same which is a total bummer.

We spend a min. of 610$ for groceries a month and only 70 eating out. I buy mostly organic. I could easily spend $800/month. This includes toiletries, tylenol, etc.

We are a family of 4, and spend about $150/week so $600/month on groceries at Central Market. Most of which is all fresh/organic produce, meats, bakery items. I have tried doing my shopping at Walmart and HEB and I don't like the quality of their foods, so to us it is worth the extra to go to Central Market.

Going out, we spend about $300/month or so.

Try Green Fields in Stone Oak. Their meat is delicious and reasonable, and their veggies are cheaper than WhoFo. Not all organic, but there are some.

IMO, their meat counter gives WhoFo a serious run for their money. And it's all hormone-free deliciousness.

For the three of us we spend about $150 every two weeks, but invariably there is at least one or two $50 additional trips mixed in there because the dinner menu on a weekend is almost guaranteed to be something we dont have.

We dont eat out much. Maybe $75ish per month <shrugs>

About $75-$90/week for 2 adults with some buys that are organic. Every 3 months, a trip to Costco for around $90/month for toilet paper, laundry detergent, the non food stuff. Then $100/month for eating out.

For a family of four, we spend about $200-250 every two weeks on groceries.

We spend about $100-200 a month eating out, just depends on where we go.
