Bill White lost statewide but he won Bexar County. Other big races: Ciro Rodriguez lost, Susan Reed won, and Henry Cuellar lost Bexar County but he won his district. The two propositions to buy up land for parks and to protect the aquifer passed. A yes vote was to extend the one-eighth tax already in place.

Well, I am glad the Parks initiative was passed as well as the school bond issue. Good things will come from it.

I can't believe that a politician that refuses to go to debates can win an election.

I can when the electorate is not interested in voting based on information but rather on their emotions.

Agreed. How she got re-elected is a mystery to me. Just look at her, she's a wreck.

OMG just BARELY! By less than 300 votes. That is crazy close.

Overall, straight-ticket voting went Republican. Looks like Bexar County is a lot more red after all! Who knew?

Thanks for posting the link.

The only thing that surprised me was the margin of victory in some of the races. What I thought were somewhat close races turned out not to be close at all.

That's exactly why voting is so important.
