My daughter has been pretty sick the last few days and people keep telling me that there is something going around. Has anyone had this supposed bug that is being passed around?

Very early Saturday morning, my daughter woke up with a 102+ degree fever. She threw up once shortly after and Tylenol was able to keep the fever down just over 100. Sunday morning she started throwing up (the fever persisted) and continued to vomit throughout the morning. Since then, she has held down all food and water and her fever has stayed between 100-101 without Tylenol. Its now early afternoon on Monday and she seems to have developed some diarrhea. Again, fever is getting much better and she is no longer vomiting.

I'm just wondering if she could possibly be getting over a stomach bug. It seems that all symptoms would have developed at once had it been the flu. She's had no other complaints other than maybe a headache, but she's only 28 months old so its hard to tell.

Yes! My father was hospitalized last week for dehydration because of this bug. It's definitely been going around the past couple of weeks. Incredibly, I dodged the bullet, but nearly everyone else I know got it. Whew!

Luckily she never stopped chugging water and because we were able to keep her fever down, we didn't worry too much. I'd be at the pediatricians today if she'd woken up with another 102 degree fever.

Just getting over it myself - it hit me last night, and kept me up the entire night. Hopefully, it's about run its' course!

My boyfriend's daughter was throwing up for a day or two last week but it didn't last long.

My oldest boy has it, but a milder case thank God!

I wonder if any of the rest of the family will get it? I just got a flu shot on Friday so I've been a little under the weather, but I attributed it to the shot.

Cheers! M2

This is my cue to be extra paranoid at work with the hand sanitizer, wet wipes, and general Howard Hughes behavior regarding germs.

My daughter was ill for 6 days. Low grade fever and vomiting. In her class 5 kids have had it. Two had a 24 hr. bug the others 6 days. Now my other daughter has it. It has been 3 days with the same problems. I have one more child waiting to get it before the holidays. The doctor said just wait it out. It is going around.
