I've heard from several people there is a "great" Vietnamese restaurant somewhere near Bitters & San Pedro. I'm still searching. Does anyone here know the name and location of the place?

TIA

Probably Pho Cong Ly. The spring rolls are to die for there!

Pho Cong Ly is also known as Taste of Asia. It's located in a strip center at the SW corner of Bitters & West Ave.

We went there once. Our waiter reeked of cigarette smoke, disappeared when it was time for refills and our food was just OK. Figured out on our way out that the waiter reeked because he had been taking frequent smoke breaks, right outside the front door of the restaurant. We've never been back.

Default Tasty Pho & Noodle Dishes

Pho Cong
300 West Bitters Road (same shopping center as Marzo's & Leslie Pool Supply)
San Antonio, TX 78216
(210) 499-5572

Not a fan of the regular menu, but the pho is delicious. They also have some dishes with shredded lettuce & vermicelli that are very good too (I like the pork & spring rolls). Portions are very generous. We always start the meal with summer rolls.

While I would not go as far as to say the place is "excellent", it is very good and we eat there usually once every two weeks.

The Pho is best in town. Don't know about the rest of the food.

I go with my "special" friend who knows the people who work there, and I can say, every time we go, it is excellent.

I'm far from a Pho expert, but I'd rate it as decent (love the bible tripe). The spring rolls are good, but not as much as the Vietnam restaurant off Broadway. Beyond that is where it starts to go downhill.
