I've complained three times to 311 about the traffic light being off at Zarzamora and Apple White. It's not a high traffic area except for when Toyota plant employees are coming and going from work. There are full traffic lights, but they're just flashing red and there are stop signs at each corner. I complained last year, early this year, and around summer when I saw a 4 car accident at that intersection on the news. There are so many Toyota workers coming south and east, that many of them don't stop at the stop sign or don't wait their turn to go. I stopped going through the intersection because I was almost hit 2 or 3 times and I saw a very near accident once involving two other vehicles. I don't see what's so hard about turning the lights on at certain times. The lights at Bitters near the NEISD bus station are only on at busy times, so how come they can't do the same at Zarzamora and Apple White?

Call your councilman. Also, the mayor comes on KTSA regularly - call and voice the issue to him during that time.

Wheel, squeak, grease.....

Tell your city council rep's office that you're having trouble getting a response to your complaints. They'll investigate it for you. Although, be forewarned that some members of council are better about this kind of constituent service than others.

Why would all the lights be flashing? Is the city too lazy to program them? I have noticed this before on the street that leads and continues into Port San Antonio (Kelly USA) and even more so on Broadway at night so I am guessing there is another reason?

Many of the lights are set to cycle and operate as standard lights during peak traffic times, flashers at others.

Well I definitely appreciate when the flashers are on but I do slow down at every intersection just to scan both directions, do that most of the time anyways. For some reason I feel less safe with the flashers on though even if it appears convenient.

The lights aren't flashing yellow for caution, they're flashing red as a reinforcement for the stop signs; but it isn't doing any good. I think the lights used to be used awhile back, but were turned off due to little traffic going through the area. Someone didn't take into consideration that hundreds of Toyota employees travel through the area.
