It it the time of year that many people send packages to troops overseas.
While mail going to Iraq and Afghanistan is fairly quick, if you want that package there before Christmas then you need to plan ahead.

I did not see it on the website (may have missed it)...but I wanted to add that my sister was told she can not send any items containing pork to her husband currently stationed in Afghanistan. Consumption of pork is apparently offensive to natives there. She often sends care packages to him and others as well.
