It's time again to upgrade to a new entertainment center to accommodate a larger TV. So far I have browsed Rooms to Go on line to see a little of what's out there. The problem that I am seeing is that just about all of them seem to be locating all of the stereo equipment at the bottom. The entertainment center that I have now has a cabinet with a glass door to the left where I have my receiver and CD player located uppermost for convenience since I need to fiddle with the controls on these units the most. I can see how crawling around on my hands and knees on the floor to adjust the receiver or change cd's is going to get really old really quick. I really hate the idea of have to replace my existing EC since it does everything I want it to and is setup just the way I want it. I just need a bigger enclave for the TV. I could mount the new TV on the wall above the EC or set the TV on top of it but those options just don't appeal to me. Anybody been shopping for entertainment centers lately?

I went to Big Lots recently and I saw a few on the floor on display. I don't recall seeing any with storage to the left of the unit.

it's not for everyone's taste or quality, but IKEA has some neat offerings. they can get pricey, and shipping is expensive (so i've heard), but they do have selection.

It looks like IKEA might have some interesting choices. Unfortunately their website is so garbled that I can't make heads or tails of the products that they have. It looks like the closest store is in Round Rock

If you want a couple pieces of furniture a trip to Ikea is worth it. I don't like browsing their website...a catalog or a trip to the store is much better. Just make sure you take all your measurements with you.

Didn't someone open up a brand new furniture store just south of 151. I can't remember the name or even if it is open yet. Although I thought it was.
