Going 4 days with fever symptoms...so bad I can't sleep. In one minute I'm freakin' freezing, the next I'm boiling with sweat. Thankfully I'm experiencing the bulk of the pain over the weekend so I don't miss too much work, but it looks like I'm gonna have to stay in Monday, too. I already missed one day last week.

Just wondering how long this particular flu strain is lasting in San Antonio. Probably the worst one I've ever had in my life.

Boerne area hit pretty hard w/ kids especially - @ my kids' elementary, 20% absences in the 5th grade, don't know % of other grades but absentee rate is high school wide. Kids out several days to a week. Some adults affected too. Sorry you are sick.

My son has missed a week of school for it. He is on Tamiflu. Once he started the Tamiflu the fever officially stopped. Still weak and a cough that makes him sound like a 85 year old man who smoked since he was 8.... Hope you feel better.

Bummer TN. I hope you feel better soon. I had the flu once, back in 1999, and I do not EVER want to have it again!!

One thing I've noticed that seems to help me, at least - lots of vitamin C, mostly from Orange Juice, etc. Might just be my mind, but really seems to reduce the symptoms.

Only flu I've had was back in early 80's just flat knocked me out. Went home hit the sack and don't recall when I got up. I'm supposed to be getting flu shots but haven't for several years. Get well soon everyone.
