I'm new to San Antonio. I need some suggestions on the venue of a Christmas party. The party will have around 50 person. Price range is around $25/person. Better to be in center city or north side of the city. Thanks!

My husband's work had their holiday party at the Aztec Theater downtown one year - it was pretty cool. No idea about price or anything, just that it was a really neat historic downtown venue.

You can do one of the hotels. That would mean getting the food from the hotel. Or rent a space and have it catered. I don't know prices. They have increased since last year. Since it is so early, check what the hotels would the charge for a party room and food.
Other venues could be a resturant you like and rent the restaurant and thier food. Pick a restaurant you like and see what they say. 50 people is small and I bet alot of restaurants and hotels would be glad to accommodate you with a party room.

I think renting a hall in a hotel or something is going to be outside of your budget. 25 dollars per person is going to do well covering the meal and a drink or 2 alone. Talk to some of the nicer restaurants. If you have a party they will usually give you the space for free if you have a set head count.

Most of the restaurants have private rooms that can handle your guest count. Just start contacting them now.

Renting a space and having it catered is the more expensive route. With your budget being relatively small I would just keep to taking over a restaurant room and have some good grub.

The other option would be to find someone at work that can accommodate that head count. Have the event catered there and BYOB. That could give you a nice cost savings.
