My brother is looking to move here. His job will be over at Lackland AFB. He is looking for something Rural. He would prefer 1-3 acres. He doesn't mind driving up to 30 minutes. They have kids so the schools would be important. I live over in Stone Oak, and I don't really know that area. I figured instead of driving around for hours, maybe someone could steer me in the right direction.

Thanks again for your help.

I know many who live in Floresville and La Vernia (and some of those surrounding areas) and love it. Several developments going up if you want to build a new house on a large lot too.

Floresville and Castroville would both be great choices. I do a good bit of business out in those areas as well as in Hondo; all three towns are very nice. Hondo would mean a longer drive; it might get old after a while.

I echo this advice. However, I don't know anything about the schools in that area, and you mentioned that this was important, so make sure to research that.

Look into Westoak on Talley Rd. They have large residential lots and are in the Northside ISD. It is only about 15 miles friom Lackland AFB.
