As for how I described rd2007, as I said, I did not mean it to be of offence. I've met him in person when he lived in Westcreek (don't know if he still does) and from what I remember, he had kids, a wife and was a very overweight gentlemen with long blonde-ish hair, curly/waving hair at that.

I'm just puzzled how someone of that stature figured to have a good read on the social scene of San Antonio.

I could probably name 20 clubs and lounges that he's never heard of but he's a good barometer of the nightlife?
Love it.

Didn't notice that part about naming 20 clubs and lounges I've never heard of. That freaking supports my side of the argument!!! People here drink for a social life. That is NOT a social life. That's the life of a damn alcoholic and it's not normal.

Alcoholism is rampid in every, city in every state. Yes, there are a high number of drunk drivers here in this city as in many cities; look at Austin, per capita they have high statistics for DWI. People stereotype, equate San Antonio as a bunch of drunk mexicans, this has a lot to do with it for this city. Yes, you've made your point clear you don't like San Antonio, yes there are far more better cities than San Antonio; the point is this, we can keep going in circles and circles on this topic. This thread lost it's original intent.

And please stop acting like nightlife and alcohol aren't common bed pals. You're a middle aged man who's married, you're social life is what exactly? TGI Fridays? Putt putt? A movie? Seriously, that list wasn't made for you in mind so it's understandable why you'd protest it.

I hate to even bring the show up, but do you watch Jersey Shore? They're not exactly going to Barnes and Nobles or the Museum at night now are they? They're also not drinking water or tea, now are they?

That is all the proof that I need, All of our modern youth today is extremely stupid!

It is because of said youth that my dam insurance is so high. I can relate to the fact that you dont need alcohol to have a good time. Its just people with weak minds view it as a path or right to take it up, or to live in the moment. Some people really dont know how to drink. Socially drinking IMO is just going out and drinking a beer or two.

Your opinion of social drinking sounds to me like going out and get hammered and do something stupid, and wake up the next day lying next to an ass ugly girl or guy that you dont remember having sex with.

Please do something productive and help come up with a cure for leukemia or something , instead of bashing RD for telling it how it is...

Posts above were deleted. Discuss San Antonio and the list in the original post from this point forward, rather than discussing each other.

The list could be true regarding San Antonio, depending on the kind of singles you're looking for. If you're looking for a type that's harder to find here, good luck.
