These are the words from Miss San Antonio President Linda Woods. This is what she said on air during a KTSA radio interview according to the Daily Mail.

Quote:
'I said, you know, "Get off the tacos, get off the chips and soda,"' she told the radio station. 'Because she's 17, and that's what these kids eat.'
Domonique Ramirez sues after lost beauty queen crown 'for becoming overweight' | Mail Online

Domonique Ramirez is a size 2. Ashley Dixon is a size 6.

Also the previous executive director, Glenda Coyle, had only good news about her.

Quote:
“For me she did a very good job,” Coyle said. “I took her to several different functions and she did a wonderful job for me.”

Does all this really matter? Isn't this contest a private affair? I would think that the contract is pretty much written in the favor of the pageant organization and would have alll sorts of outs..

I don't want to see her naked, I want to see her get to work and be a real person with real problems.

Tiara takeover: Miss S.A. files lawsuit to keep royal crown (http://news.yahoo.com/video/sanantoniokens5tv-15751262/tiara-takeover-miss-s-a-files-lawsuit-to-keep-royal-crown-24123902 - broken link)

It is a scholarship program and also a nonprofit. Nonprofits cannot be owned by private individuals. They are also tax exempt.

She should sue, there is a contract involved, her college scholarship is on the line, so she has every right.

Now according to mysa supposedly Woods never said weight was an issue. How would her comments on KTSA be explained then?

Woods is also claiming that Ramirez violated her contract by taking part in a bridal fashion show but according to the bridal show organizer who was contacted:

Quote:
That appearance was not approved by the organization, Woods said, contradicting the bridal show's organizer, Lari Nelson, who has said Woods' organization told her Ramirez could either be introduced as Miss San Antonio or could model in the event, but not both. Woods modeled without Miss San Antonio being mentioned, Nelson said.
Miss S.A. crown is nobody's until judge decides - San Antonio Express-News

Seems the Miss San Antonio organization is contradicting themselves left and right.

While non profits may not be controlled by "individuals", they are controlled by a board of individuals. And that board deemed her not up to their standards per their contract. That's all they need to say. Nothing more.....
