This is located off 1604 by Sea World right?

If so, it used to be called Joyland. My son went there for a year, starting when he was an infant back in 2003. At that time, it was a very nice place. The staff was always attentive and loving. The director was nice and she seemed sincere. Around that time I was getting divorced, facing some financial issues, and thought for sure they wouldnt work with me but surprisingly they did. Most daycares would not. I am not sure if this was just a name change or an ownership change, but back in 2003-04 they were a very nicely run facility.

You can always check out a daycare by going to:

Thanks for the info. I had heard ownership changed in 2009 and the few posts I have read on the internet about Pillars have been sketchy. Other than Country Day, I don't know of any other full day programs in this area.

HI~ The Pillars Christian Learning Center is a great place to send your children. My son is in Ms. Vera's toddlers class and my daughter just started the summer program with Ms Erica. The staff is loving and caring and always willing to help in whatever way they can. The director and owner are amazing at working with parents and accommodate all situations. No matter what age group all the teachers work hard to show your children love and let u know they are caring for your child! I recommend this place to anyone looking for a great center!

Home page to the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, beside looking up daycares and complaints/violations, more information available. Also, by visiting the TX Attorney General website or simply give them a call. If you belong to Angie's List, you can also lookup businesses, and review reports from people that have utilized professional services from contractors to medical services to schools, etc..

I absolutely love the pillars Christian learning center off Reed rd, my 6 year old started when she was 3, and my 2 year old has been there since he was an infant. Staff is very friendly, always keeps me well informed of what is going on from day to day with my children. Lauren Keen
