Own a house on NW side of the town (1604 + La Cantera) and have large area under the tress to fill with something (full truck-load at min). We are planning to go for rocks/crushed rocks/etc but not dirt. Keller Materials we used last time for flag-stone but things have changed and they are now too expensive for us.

We are not looking for something fancy this time just crushed rocks/rocks or maybe gravel ... anything dirt cheap

Someone told if we down South on 1604 there are companies crushing stone. Do they sell it to public?

Thanks for your help!

Try craigslist:

BASE, SAND, GRAVEL, HAUL-OFFS

be careful, though, they are scary strangers!

I go to Stone and Soil Depot. Very great place. Head up I-10 West, take the Fair Oaks exit and turn left across the highway, then turn right (heading west up the I-10 access road again) and it'll be on your left.

Stone and Soil is nearly identical in cost to Keller. I have used both. You may want to call them ask which is the cheapest gravel you can get delivered. Prices vary widely on different rocks. I don't think pea gravel is that expensive.

Ahhhh the further you are away from the seller, the more you will pay for delivery.
