I've read reviews about their horrible scorpion problem, but other than that, nada. There is a cut-through on their fence that is a shortcut to Walmart....if that's an issue for you.

Used to live close to there. Have fun with the traffic!

Default Traffic? :)

I'm coming from the DC/Virginia corridor which has one of the top 3 worst traffic problems in the country. I'm sure I'll cope

There's lots of shopping and restaurants right around those apartments, which is a plus.

Traffic is pretty horrible around there at rush hour. I know you said you're used to traffic, but there are lots of nice apartment complexes that they've built recently around town, so if you're not going to be working in that area, you might consider a different area. The traffic is not as bad at Bandera and 1604, for example...only a couple of miles away but that part of loop 1604 doesn't have traffic lights so it's not as bad.
