I will say that we will not be "timed out" .

The sad thing was the statement of an officer I talked with. In a nutshell, he told me that so muck crime goes unreported or underreported in the inner city due to lack of response by the PD or followup.

I can believe that from the few experiences I've had interacting with the police here. Minimal effort + straight up lazy as hell = nothing ever happened. Sad, but very true unfortunately.

Now compare that with a hit and run experience I had in Monterey, CA. I called it in and the entire police force was literally hunting down this Japanese tourist couple. Sucked to be them and their lack of understanding of what to do in an accident...

my reported issues here were a hit and run, shooting, and nearly getting killed by a drunk, so they weren't things the police should just blow off. They did show up for two of the three, though. Just didn't really do anything after that except make excuses for why they shouldn't investigate any further...

I've had similar experiences. I reported children being beaten, they saw the bruises, and did nothing. Some of the cops here think it's okay to punch a small child in the face.

Now that...is a shame.

Saw the same FJ, whose license plates had been previously given to PD, cruising our street yesterday-slowly- UNTIL he saw us. He then sped off and took the corner at a high rate of speed.

Police called and went to the home of the FJ owner. Owner said he was going to HEB with family. He was alone. Will see!

So this person has a family? Hopefully you are protecting yourself and your family while doing this. I'm guessing this person is getting pretty upset that someone is cramping their style and interfering with their "work". I'm all for doing that, but you still have to be careful when messing with these people. If you ever need any help or assistance, feel free to ask. I have plenty of protection to go around.... and most of it makes a very nice statement
