Live in Monte Vista. Received called that alarm had activated. My office is less than ten minutes away. Came home to find front door open and rear window broken. Called 911 and walked across street to ask neighbors what they had seen.

Neighbors saw a bright blue Hummer with a white roof slow down and pick up someone coming from yard. Another saw same vehicle a few days ago.

Be Forewarned!

How many of those are in the area? A red dodge pick up okay...but a bright blue hummer with a white roof? That's gotta stick out like a sore thumb.

Hopefully someone here will see something. I'll keep my eyes peeled.

A bright blue hummer with white roof isn't exactly the best getaway vehicle to use for robberies.

How much dumber can they get?

Hmmm... I just did a quick search on blue hummer with white roof. I'd bet my hat that it wasn't a Hummer, but a Toyota FJ Cruiser. Check out the pic of one:

Anyone see such a vehicle, get the license plate just in case. WillGar, did you find anything missing? Maybe the stuff's just sitting in the trunk of that Hummer.

Very interesting choice of vehicle for break-ins. Perhaps it's stolen?

edit: Goominim, I knew it!! I was thinking that bright blue wasn't in the listed colors for the Hummer H2 at all, and the colors were ALWAYS unibody except with some of the newer ones!!

It's gotta be an FJ Cruiser. Problem is, there's a lot more of those with the blue color than there would have been Hummers like that. It also makes more sense that a robber would be driving a slightly more downscale car than a Hummer H2. Not that a Hummer H2 is "upscale". *rolls eyes*

Before everyone gets excited at the sight of a blue FJ with a white roof, that was a pretty common color scheme for that vehicle so there is a good chance that you'll see a lot of them around...

Cheers! M2

In truth I asked the same question. Onr of the people who saw the vehicle has an insurance agency and is quite conversant about different vehicles. Also the second party identified the vehicle as a Hummer without talking to the other. Both thought it was a repaint. I asked both if it were a Toyota and both were certain it was a Hummer.

Additionally, not much was stolen since the alarm sounded. The culprit missed my gold coins in the guest bedroom under the bed. The alarm is being repaired today from 3-5PM and I WILL NOT BE HOME. Hope he isn't on the Forum. I promise I do not have have my Glock loaded.
