You know it really pisses my off when you have all these Dallas Cowboys fans from San Antonio. When they are one of the reason we don't have any NFL team it was the Kansas City Chiefs,Dallas Cowboys and Houston Oilers who voted us not to have an NFL team back in '92.If not we would of had one we build the Dome for that main purpose and didn't get ****!
I was hopping the Saints stayed here but no luck.I sure hope we can have a team in the near future it kills me to think that Green Bay who is a smaller city has a team as well as Buffalo.
As for the names
San Antonio Sheriffs
San Antonio Trojans
San Antonio Apaches
San Antonio Aztecs
San Antonio Stampede

Oh God, PLEASE NO… no Trojans!!! I’d have to relive all those USC Trojan jokes again… WE would have to endure them!!

I like San Antonio Stampede….

But I still love the idea of San Antonio Salsa…
Someone laughed and called it ‘sissified’, but I think it’s HOT, and Kickin’!!
I know I’ve had some salsa that’s kicked MY butt, esp here in San Antonio!!

So my second vote would be San Antonio Stampede…..

But I would still save all my money to see my boyfriend Bruce, rather than men slithering around in the mud….

Well no, wait…. Lemmee seeeeeee….. Yep, rather spend my money on my boyfriend Bruce....

Why does that "kill" you? Green Bay is historic and they have a big fanbase across the nation. Buffalo's metro is at 1.1 million, but they also pull fans from Toronto just an hour or so to their north.

I don't think it was the Houston Oilers, or Dallas Cowboys that solely kept a team out of SA. Of course the owners of those teams don't want another city in Texas to have a football team because that would cut into their market/profits.

Jerry Jones didn't want Houston to get its new football team because it would cut into the Cowboy market in Houston.

How about the San Antonio Vatos!

Seriously, I was thinking the San Antonio Scorpions, but I see Galloway already suggested that, so I would second it.

Also the San Antonio Moccasins (as in the snake not the shoe)
Or the San Antonio Vipers

I am tired of the whole old west theme, how about a name that honors hour military history.

Something like:

San Antonio Flyers
San Antonio Wings
San Antonio Rangers
San Antonio Aces

Or we can pick a name that is brutally honest:

The San Antonio All-You-Can-Eat-Chinese-Buffet

Default San Antonio NFL Team Name

How about the San Antonio MILITIA? Since the Alamo was defended by a militia.
