Has anyone gone there yet? I drove through the parking lot a few weeks ago and a worker was leaving and he told me they were going to open on July 4th.

It's open but I haven't tried it yet. Will be anxious to hear what others think.

We had lunch at Copeland's this week and really enjoyed it. The spicy shrimp appetizer, blackened catfish, mashed sweet potatoes, and biscuits were fantastic. I can't wait to go back and try the cheesecake!

I haven't been yet, but plan to go very soon. I tried looking up the San Antonio location on the Copeland's website, but it is not listed. I then found a facebook page that had a link to their website. Here it is:
Copeland's of New Orleans - Home

Their menu is on there and it looks fantastic!

Stone Oakers love their restaurants. If the customer base is anything like BJ's, the place will be swamped with business for the first 3 months.

I have never heard of Copeland's before, but their menu looks pretty awesome. Fried pickles.....and stuffed eggplant....yummmm. Anxious to try it. Hope it's good.

BJ's. <snort> What a joke. I've given them a few chances to get their act together, but they can't seem to do it. Now I only go if I'm invited and someone else is paying. I won't give them my money any longer! Their service...in a word....sucks! (Alamo Ranch)

For some reason, all my life in Louisiana, I scarcely ate at Copeland's. It's typically been pretty good though, so I'll have to try this one out. I remember the one in Hattiesburg, MS being great and then suddenly shutting down for no apparent reason... When I'm in the mood to go out to eat something similar to what I grew up with, since I've been here, I go to Acadiana Cafe. Otherwise, of course I just cook it myself. If anyone else knows of a good restaurant with Louisiana cuisine, let me know.
