Looks like it will be Kansas, Virginia Commonwealth, Richmond, and the winner of the Florida State/Notre Dame game. #1 seed Kansas will bring a lot of fans. VCU and Richmond are perennial Tournament participants and can charter the same flights. FSU beat Duke this past season, and Notre Dame finished in the Top 10, though it's not looking too promising for the Irish right now (Maybe Pitino should continue coaching).

Is anyone here going?

Without Notre Dame, it's hard to imagine that any of those 4 teams will have more than a handful of fans in San Antonio.

I went to the Regional in '07. By the time the teams were announced, the tickets that were available to locals online or at the box office were way up high and in the corner. I'm not enough of a college hoops fan to go again for teams that I don't care about. I went to a Spurs game recently and thinking back to '07, I remember that both the concessions and the sightlines are much worse in the Alamodome than the AT&T Center. Although I love to see the Alamodome get used and make money, I won't be paying to go there.

Yeah, I would actually love to go, but the price of the tickets is outrageous!

That's too bad, since VCU demolished the second-ranked team in the Big Ten in Purdue. Richmond might have the weakest resume, but the three others seem to be very solid to elite teams.

This thread was a day ahead of the newspaper.

Cinderella regional could hurt box office

Officials paint rosy picture, but ticket brokers warn of ‘half-empty' Alamodome.

Already, the lower-profile field appears to be having an effect.
One online ticket service, stubhub.com, was offering some tickets at more than 50 percent below face value — $70 seats for $31 — five days before the opening tip-off.

I think you will see quite a few FSU fans down here. Biggest bandwaggoners on the planet

Seriously, thank you for posting.

I went on and was able to get some pretty good seats (Section 108, row 12 ..hope those are decent) for 124 bucks with everything included.
